A Note from the Editor

As many of you all know, I have volunteered for the Lens Line editor. When Scott Dine had stepped down as editor, I started kicking around the idea of taking over. So I finally bit the bullet and stepped forward, and to my surprise I'm becoming quite excited. My plan for right now is to be a copy cat and mimic past issues till I find my way. Any suggestion's and/or advise would be welcomed and appreciated. I hope you enjoy my very first Lens Line edition. Now to play catch up.......

What was.......

Sept. 6 Program – Show & Tell - share summer fun photos (2 each)

Sept. 13 Slide and Digital Contest - Open

Sept. 20 Program – Tim Edberg (Helpful tips on nature photography)

Sept. 27 Print Contest – Open

I apologize for such a skimpy issue, but I'm a month and a half behind and I just don't remember enough to bang out a paragraph or two. I guess I should have made up my mind sooner. BUT there is one very handy tip worth noting from Tim Edberg that has stuck in my head. When you're ready to come inside after shooting on a cold day, put your camera in a ziploc bag. Leave it in the bag for a few hours so it has time to adjust to the temperature change and moisture won't collect on your precious equipment.
